Description

Neuro-MS is used for clinical practice and research.

Although the TMS can induce a strong electric field, this device has very low electromagnetic interference even during charging and discharging. Thus, you can use it during EEG or ERP recordings.

The magnetic stimulator can work with EMG recorders from most manufacturers (via trig in/out sockets). However, maximum diagnostic capabilities can be achieved if the device is used with Neurosoft digital systems.

The Neuro-MEP.NET software provided with Neuromed neurophysiological systems, for example the Skybox, has integrated predefined protocols for a wide range of TMS tests:

  • motor evoked potentials (MEP);
  • central motor conduction time (CMCT);
  • silent period (SP);
  • intracortical (ICI) and interhemispheric inhibition (IHI);
  • intracortical (ICF) and interhemispheric facilitation (IHF);
  • triple stimulation test (TST);
  • phrenic nerve stimulation to study the response of the diaphragm.

High power monophase pulse

Thanks to the 2800 V capacitor, which is 60% more robust than our previous generation of capacitors, the Neuro-MS sends out more powerful single-phase pulses. It ensures good motor response at low intensities.

Extremely low electromagnetic interference

Thus, you can use it during EEG or ERP recordings. The magnetic stimulator can work with most manufacturers’ EMG recorders (thanks to the trigonometric input/output sockets). However, maximum diagnostic capabilities can be achieved if the device is used with Neurosoft digital systems. The Neuro-MEP.NET software supplied with Neurosoft neurophysiological systems, such as the Skybox, includes predefined protocols for a wide range of TMS tests:

  • motor evoked potentials (MEP);
  • central motor conduction time (CMCT);

Large color display and one-click parameter control wheel

All stimulation parameters are displayed on the integrated, clear color screen. The Easy-Click dial allows you to adjust intensity, frequency and other settings in seconds. The Neuro-MS comes with a new set of coils that have additional controls. On a coil, you can increase or decrease the intensity of the pulse and trigger a pulse.

Two configurations for single and dual pulse

The magnetic stimulator is available in two configurations: for single pulse stimulation and for paired pulse stimulation (ppTMS). Paired-pulse transcranial magnetic stimulation has proven to be a useful tool for studying excitatory and inhibitory interactions in the human motor cortex.

Connection to the computer via USB

Neuro-MS, like our other TMS systems, can be used with Neurosoft’s neurophysiological systems. Simply connect the magnetic stimulator to the computer with the EMG or EEG software installed via the USB port. No additional synchronization cable is required. Neurosoft produces both professional EMG/NCS and TMS machines. This means that the integration between TMS and EMG can be done at a very deep level. The EMG software can fully control all parameters of the magnetic stimulator.
